Oh my dear, I hope you’re up and about soon!! Sounds like a pretty extreme way to get an extra chocolate Easter egg!! I must admit I’ve started a little early on the chocolate fix. Such is life. (I was cleaning up the spare room so my brother could stay last night and found some chocolates!! A lovely reward.)
And regarding your comment about fiction vs real life stories, I love real life thoughts. Anything from the heart.
Take care dear Prue. Scary times for you. Sending heaps of hugs and best wishes.
Oh Prue, I do hope that the treatment settles it down and that if you do need surgery then you don't have too rough a time of it. and take it easy. ( yes I know Pot kettle black ) ;)
As for poor Catherine, I am sickened by the gutter press and people that have nowt better to do then to publish such garbage like us all she is entiteled to keep her medical inrofmation private and only tell people she wants to tell.
I do hope the Easter bunny visits you and leaves a nice surprise. I am not a great lover of Easter eggs, as they are a bit sickly, but I do have some minstrels that I rather like, so I might open them on Sunday .
Take care and do as the doctors advise, sending love and gentle hugs xxx
Kate, they have me on an all-fluids diet!!!!! I'm aghast. Mind you, one nursing sister did say that melted chocolate is fluid. Husband is going to sneak me in an egg tonight.
Oh dear Prue! Hope you get the rest and recuperation you need. And of course chocolate will help! And the one note samba is brilliant! Thanks for all you bring us ❤️. Happy Easter 🐇🪺🌺
Thanks Sabrina. I will catch up with everyone's newsletters today which is a bonus.
And with the music, when I saw it, I had such a blast from the past - I remember Dean Martin's TV shows which were always such good variety TV and I remember Caterina Valente was a frequent performer. That's another job for today - Youtube her music. XXXX
Oh, no!! Every time I write or say, "Bless your heart!" I feel the need to qualify it. It can express very different sentiments, depending on the circumstances. In this instance, it's ALL GOOD!! Here's a few moments of distraction for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JeZMwHcVB8
I want to hope you'll be sprung before Easter, but your message to Mr. Bunny makes me think not. Good that you have projects to keep your mind from running wild.
Always an honor to be included among those you recommend, Prue, especially those of the caliber here. I might be blushing a little.
Take care of YOU, my friend. Sending healing, vim and vigor!
Ah Elizabeth, despite an all fluid diet, I am full of vigour if not vim. I hate the beds and had a sore back when I was admitted, so on waking this morning, I've been prowling the corridors, walking back and forth. But I'm about to be chained to the bed again with more antibiotic bomb bags into my arm, so I shall add some vim to the vigour first. XXXX
I'm with the nursing sister who says melted chocolate qualifies as a liquid!
Sadly, hospitals are not what I think of as places for healing. Good for acute issues, but one must be home for the real recovery. The incessant noise, vitals checks, uncomfortable beds, generally bad food (if liquids qualify as such!), and displaced routine all run counter to full restoration. Here's hoping you get through the worst of it soon. Hugs, Prue!
OMG! So true! Last night, I was woken at 10 for obs, 12 for a new I/V bag of goodies, 12.30 to remove said bag, 3.30 for obs and 7.15 for obs and a new bag of I/V stuff. By then I was done, and got up and went for a walk back and forth along the corridor! My daughter visited just awhile ago and when they had changed the Care Board to Full Diet, she passed me a choc chip cookie and it was better than THE most expensive food item in the world.
I may be going home tomorrow but surgery is now a given. Dammit! XXXX
Hugs to you Prue - I hope you can eat chocolate with both hands very, very soon! So brave of you to compose this piece under such trying circumstances and it's stellar as always. Take care xo
Frankly Easter is way too early this year - it's always nice for us in the southern hemisphere as we head into the winter months, if Easter's in mid April as its a gentle passage that breaks the 6 months before flowers begin to bloom again.
Passover for us would be a perfect time - end April. Take care. XXXX
Hope you're feeling better soon, Prue! x

Oh no Prue. All the good healing and care for you. Enjoy your chocolate, I too am a chocoholic.
Kate, they have me on an all-fluids diet!!!!! I'm aghast. Mind you, one nursing sister did say that melted chocolate is fluid. Husband is going to sneak me in an egg tonight.
Oh no Prue. And yes melted chocolate most certainly is a fluid. As long as they don’t say clear fluids you should be good.
I was going to say, Hot Chocolate is fluid isn't it?
Exactly!!!!!

I hope you feel better and better, slow by slow. May patience and peace be with you.
Thank you, Mary. Have a wonderful Easter.
You, too!
Oh Prue, I'm so sorry you're in hospital, and on Easter weekend, too. Sending so much love and strength your way.
I hope the Easter Bunny brings you smiles, laughter and a lovely treat.
Thank you so much for linking to my newsletter - you're such a lovely support.
Hope you're feeling very much better soon! 😘😘😘
Best to you and Jim too, Rebecca. May all your bunnies bring eggs!
Sending healing wishes your way on this Easter weekend.
Thank you - gratefully received.
Hugs to you Prue - I hope you can eat chocolate with both hands very, very soon! So brave of you to compose this piece under such trying circumstances and it's stellar as always. Take care xo
Thank you Sue. Looking forward to your next newsletter - I need the entertainment just now.

Oh no. I hope you're ok. I'm foraying into a piece of dark chocolate to test the system since I've been down with Covid.
I'm forlorn that Easter isn't the same week as Passover this year.
Sending healing prayers. 🙏🏻
Hope you're on the mend, too, CK.

Sorry to hear that and sending lots of virtual vitamin sea across the Tasman!
Boy, do I envy any swims you have today and over Easter!
I’m sorry to hear you are in the hospital. Sending healing thoughts to you from Canada. I hope you are home soon. ❤️
Thank you, Alice. Gratefully received.
Hi Prue, I hope you are feeling better and things go well. Did the Easter Bunny find you? Thinking of you and sending virtual hugs.
Thanks Janice. I think he comes tomorrow, around the hospital. I'm on an all-fluids diet, so not really very exciting dietary-wise...
I guess not - no chocolate easter eggs for you.
Get well soon, Prue
Thanks Terry. Feeling better today but I guess surgery is imminent.
Have a happy Easter Sunday.
Well, I wish you a speedy recovery
Oh gosh Prue, I hope you’re ok. Much love x
Hi Sally. Not too bad now - but I have to have 'abdominal surgery' in a few weeks.
Oh Prue I’m sorry to hear that. Wishing you a safe and healthy journey through these weeks x
