Oh Libby! Google Betsy Morgan - she does such stunning designs. This is REALLY hard. I'm just practicing on a scrap at the moment. LOTS of backstitch and counting on such a tight count of linen. Gaaahhh! Writing a chapter for the latest book is far easier!
Lovely post. The ocean and fresh air has the same effect on me as it does on your pup! How wonderful it must be to have the treasures of the coast at your fingertips.
I'm always so aware of the privilege I have, living on the coast, but more aware as I grow older and life becomes the downhill run. Seeking the treasures, observing them, stacking them away on the memory shelves - its a brilliant way to spend an hour, even a day. Take care. (I do look forward to your writings!)
I love reading about your "day that just passed." And those rock pools whisk me away to another world...a reminder to stop and appreciate every moment. Thank you for your words, which do indeed inspire me to "look, to see and to rejoice."
There's something magical about tidal rockpools. My mother was a rockpool-lover and it was she who taught me to delicately run my fingers along the crevices and flush out any little fish or crabs. We'd never catch them, but would spend an age watching them live in their tiny world.
I'm teaching my grandson to do the same - to learn about tidal magic.
I hope you enjoy the cross stitching, its such fun. You're brave to use linen xxxx

I love the way the memories of others keep on running through us ...just like water. Beautiful.
