He is. But we're luckier. Our heartbreak was so unfixable, I thought. But the Late Terrier gave us this little chap to try and heal us and whilst he's far from that mark, he's certainly keeping us busy and not dwelling on grief. And we do have feelings for him...
Firstly, that Puppacino has the cheekiest face I've seen since I looked at the one sitting beside me on this chair - he is absolutely a winner, a real Terrier-boy! Your piece made me lol today (I can now say that that my own style is a combo of 'worn out coastal grandmother meets kennel maid!' haha!) Your charm bracelet is really classic and I have one that was my mum's that is quite similar but I never wear it which is a shame - I had no idea they were back in style though, so good to know. I will check out this Canadian fashion source as she looks great. I love a post that ticks so many boxes for me Prue and yours did just that. Cheers as always, my friend xo
Oh Sue, he is soooo cute but he's utterly bipolar.
Yesterday morning, he and I went for a solo early morning walk on a deserted beach and he was superb. Hence my praise of him in the post.
Today? Today! Gaaah! We're in the city to watch my son once again attempt the Mountain Run. (I did a post last year in praise of him https://pruebatten.substack.com/p/thats-my-boy). The Monster (the pup) is that and more - he can't adjust to our little townhouse, and lets us know. And as for graduating with honours from pup school, he's forgotten everything today.
As well we've enrolled for the next stage beginning after Easter. If we all last that long!
Charm bracelets... I do love them. More to look at than wear as they're VERY noisy. I have two - one was my mum's (I bought her charms in each city I went to as well.) and will pass both on to family when I disappear to my next incarnation. And there's a post! What do I think I'll come back as after the life I've led...
So easy, Prue! You'll be a beautiful creature of the sea of course!! As for bi-polar, I think it's just part of the "I'll-get-back-to-you-on-that" attitude that is so much the Terrier hallmark lol. It's VERY trying though (very!) and I totally understand. He's a super lucky little chap to have you as his mum xo
My mom wore a tea length denim skirt and low Cuban heels to garden! Even into her nineties folks would stop her and compliment her sense of style...linen palazzo pants, linen blend sweaters, her slim gold chain necklace and chignon. She was elegant to the end of her days and yet fully embraced island life in Maine, with all the bugs, mud season and storms!
Nice round up of fashionistas! It interests me, Prue, that you always (always!) look put together in your photos. I guess the faded, holy bits aren't as noticeable when you're looking at your beautiful smile! Good that Fang is coming along in his training. He's so cute he almost doesn't look real.
Good to know that charm bracelets are back in style. I have two--one from my mother and one from her mother--that I've never worn. :)
ETA: Chuckling at my misspelling of holey, but it does fit with the theme of you looking DIVINE! 😅
OMG! You're so nice - if only you could see in closeup!
Currently, I'm sporting a pimple (I'm 73 for heaven's sake!) above my lip and I have a drippy nose to go with the roadmap creases. But bonus! I was able to wash my hair with city water - it feels soft and slightly thicker to the touch.
Bozo Fanghorn is being quite nice at the moment. Two days on the mountain being gushed over by onlookers and learning to cope with cowbells, wafting flags, corflute banners and P.A. systems has tuckered him out. Means we get a lie down while he's sleeping. Hurrah!
We have some serious commonality Prue! I wear and wear my work clothes...now my paint and repair gear...and then do a CEREMONIAL burning when the page, whatever form that takes, gets turned.
Enjoy this beautiful season and taking the time to train your Lil fang is the right thing to do for you and for all those you encounter! I might have gone for more beach time. My wrinkles are predestined as a sun worshipper in my younger days.
He is a lucky little dog to have such thoughtful and caring parents - and so very cute.
Right at this minute, he's very cute. He's asleep! When he's awake, it's pretty full-on!
I agree with Janice he's very lucky

Oh Prue, comfort is everything.
I love reading about how the little guy is growing up. You're such a wonderful family! 🐶

Love the "terrors" updates!
What a wonderful woman! Likewise, my mum always wore her lippy and jewelry in the garden. I think she and your mum might have got on quite well.
Ah, the terror! Hmmm... no doubt there will be regular bulletins. If you can bear it!

Sleep while the baby sleeps, right!? 😅
Abso-bloomin'-lutely!

Cheers to you. J
Loved this!
Wow, did I ever identify with this, Prue! Working in the garden, cycling, or chasing after grandkids, I am no fashion statement!
I loved your update on the Pup. What an endearing little character he is—I imagine he will certainly keep you feeling youthful 😊
I appreciated your Helen Mirren quote too. I think I’ll put it on a post-it and attach it to the bathroom mirror, lol!
Fashion! If fashion is wearing the same thing every day, I'm there!
Puppo? He's very adorable - it does rather get him out of reprimands quite a lot.
