So glad to have found you this year! Your posts always bring a sense of calm when I see them land in my inbox. Oh how I wish it was summer here...but we are at least heading south for January!
You know, the funny thing is I've never been a naturally calm person. I've had to work hard to sink into that place. Apart from breathing, it's been learning to seek what makes me feel best - certain colours, sounds, no crowds or noise. Nature. Really simple things. I have a feeling you know exactly what I'm talking about... It's how I found your newsletter ,after all.
Cheers, best wishes and have a wonderful 2023.
PS: South of England or continent? Either way, I can't wait for you to write about it.
Yes I do know exactly what you're talking about, Prue! Nature and simplicity...can't beat it. We are now in Portugal and as i type this the birds are singing through the open doors and the sun is warm on my face. BLISS. I shall feel inspired to write more soon, I'm certain! Wishing you all things wonderful for 2023.
Can't believe the littleist farmer is 4 doesn't seem that long since he was born. I've been faffing around since Boxing day too. I hope 2023 will be a good year for all much love Prue to you and the family xx
Hi Libby. Isn't faff the greatest word? It just has that lovely feeling of wafting from here to there and maybe accomplishing something or maybe not.
Have to say, I can't faff today. We are off to the Big Smoke tomorrow for a couple of 'thrip'-free days and I need to clean the cottage and change bed-linen etc. Maybe have some more faffy days in the New Year!
Thanks for the NY wishes. Yes, let's all hope that 2023 can be calm and peaceful for everyone. XX
Yep its a great word, and sometimes I get more done when I'm faffing about than when I'm actually doing something :) Enjoy your time in the Big Smoke at least you're away from the great unwashed ;) much love ❤😍 💖
A bit of wistful relief once the hustle bustle is over. I enjoy the idea of a fresh start, so looking forward to (hopefully) achieving some goals in 2023. I downloaded 'Old Rage' and plan to start the year off listening to it. Enjoy the rest of '22.
We're now at NY Eve and into the NY tomorrow with husband's birthday.
My years are essentially the same these days - maybe it's an age thing. No fresh starts - but just profound relief that I made it through the last year and managed to tackle personal challenges !
You will enjoy Old Rage, I think. I'll be interested to hear.
Thanks you so much for being part of Knots in the String. Happy New Year and good luck with goals. It's lovely to have challenges.
